My name is Joe Strough aka Crazy or J*Blackz I live in the UK in a town called Reading just on the outskirts of London. I started music at a young age in 2003. I used to sit back and watch various artists come to my house to record their mix tapes and albums and I always wondered if I could the same one day. And my older brother was producing and writing his own songs at the time and would often show me all his music material. So one day he came to me and said why don’t you try doing this so that’s exactly what I did!! I picked up a pen & pad and started writing. Then when I was listening to loads of different instrumentals on you-tube by well-known producers at that time like flukes, dj ironik etc my brother would give me advice on how to spit my lyrics and how to flow. So it took me a long time to get the flow of how I wanted my music to sound. After a few weeks I started thinking of a name I could call my self and my friends often used to nickname me Crazy so I thought lets use that so from there I started getting my self known in music scene by the name Crazy. And at the point is where I started going into school and showcasing the lyrics I wrote at home to close friends and once I saw the response there were giving me it motivated me to write more. So I started battling a few of the other mc’s that I knew, then whilst all this was going on I sat down with a close friend of mind and we were talking about starting up a little group so that we could get our music out there more so me and my friend Conner started JSD which stand for Just-Standard- Domination. So now Conner and me were working on releasing a mix tape together so we that’s what we did we called it JSD VOL 1 which we made in 2007. And from there me and my friend really embraced our talents and jumped on board wit music, we started getting shows around the Berkshire area and people where getting used to our music so once we left school we embraced our talents even more and started out own musical adventure. Because when I started I felt like the only genre of music I could do was grime but that is when my brother introduce me to a good friends of mine ITP (Ill Thought Process) and he got me into the hip-hop scene showing me various artist and he would also give me advice on how to adapt my flow to hip hop beats. After a while of working & gaining hip-hop knowledge from ITP he told me that he produces hip-hop beats so he chucked a few my way and I felt like I was evolving into a real hip-hop artist. ITP got into contact with a few local artist one of the few was a artist call Nature Kidd from the crew SONS OF SOUTH which where known by a lot people around Berkshire and London as soon as Nature came down to the studio we got writing a track together called “SIGN” which popped off really well with everyone we showed it to & who ever else got to listen to it. After working with a few big artist from Berkshire and London I felt it was time for me to embark on my own solo journey so whilst I was on a solo flex me ITP and a few friends where discussing about artist’s names and what meaning they have behind them and we got on to my name Crazy and over the years since I started doing music people have gave me loads of nicknames but the 1 that I would hear the most is Blackz so to cut a long story short I thought that it would fit my musical profile and new hip – hop personality with the name Blackz then I put the first letter of my name in front of it and Booom!!! MR J*BLACKZ was born now im embarking on a journey with a long time friend Jonny May aka RED. Red is my main man for design’s and to help towards my dreams so that is how REDJSD was made we combined our experience within the music industry and now we are ready to declare war upon the whole music scene so get ready for the fight!!!!
