Hey everyone! My name is Jane Devon A. I was born in Singapore, grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia and moved to California at age 9. I have been singing for about ten years. I was in a pop/r&b singing group in 2000 and it lasted for about a year. We performed at the apollo show and many other outdoor venues. In 2001, I went on and got into another singing group called Lotus. The group was managed by Leland SharpFace Entertainment. We recorded a couple of songs he wrote and the best experience of all, we sang the National Anthem for the Los Angeles Lakers on February 16th, 2002 at the Staples Center. In the next couple of years, I was asked to record for a background vocal for the band, INTOCABLE. The song title is “aire” in the album ‘Intocable diez Xtra.’ The album was released in 2005. Soon after, I sang at the Latin Grammy Awards in November 2005, as one of their background vocalist. In Summer 2009, I attended Berklee as a voice principle. I have a vast amount of knowledge in playing and song writing. I play a little bit of piano and guitar. Currently, I’m just trying to write more songs and get them arranged and recorded so I can start gigging around. I express everything through writing, so a lot of my songs are based on everyday life experiences, and of course some are love songs. My dream is to be an inspiring singer and through my songs, i want to help others who are lost in this world and to give those people words of encouragement. I believe that music saves souls. I believe in the art and the beauty of music. I thank God everyday for the opportunity I’ve had and I hope I will share my music with the world.
