About Jeff Otwell

Nashville recording artist Jeff Otwell is a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a Hospital Corpsman for the U.S. Navy S.E.A.L.'s at Seal Team 4 in Little Creek, Va. As well as a working musician he is a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Hoover, Al. He is also a father of 2 boys (Jacob and Justin) and a dedicated husband to his wife (Jennifer). As a young child Jeff grew up around music. His grandfather, mother, and uncle all sang in church and various groups around the area. Jeff soon followed. At the age of 6 he was singing solo's in Church. Since then Jeff has come into his own. He was a semi-finalist in the 2006 TV series "Nashville Star" and was one of the top four finalist in the 2009 "Original Artist" competition in the state of Alabama. Jeff is now performing over 100 shows a year. He has recently opened up for acts such as "Alan Jackson" and "Confederate Railroad". You may find him doing acoustic shows or entertaining with his band, the "Jeff Otwell Band" in any of the local Honky Tonk's and Restaurants in the Birmingham, Al. area as well as areas around the State and Southeast. Some of his early influences were Alabama, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings. Jeff just recently released his debut "self-titled" EP produced by 3 time grammy-award winning producer, Dave Lehman. Planning has already began on a full album release next year.
