JJ  Twins – The Very First Twin Singers InSri Lanka     The very first twins to compose songs, sing and dance inSri Lanka. Julian & Jason Prins the twins of R&B just turned seventeen…with good looks and great big shy smiles, well mannered and disciplined, with their supportive older brother Devon Prins and youngest brother Dennis Prins. Their parents are so very supportive, understanding and encouraging, Dad Rainsford (Rino) Prins, Mum Estella Prins.   Going back memory lane it was wonderful to watch JJ as toddlers, they were indeed a buddle of joy, as they were very special kids right from the start, JJ are indeed a blessing from God.  It had always been very difficult to put the two babies to bed, JJ were good during the day, but refused to fall a sleep without music at night, Julian the older twin only fell a sleep to the music of  “Mississippi River”, while Jason the younger twin got used to listening to “One day at a time sweet Jesus” only then did these two decide to fall a sleep.   During the beginning of their academy period atSt. Joseph’s College,Colombo10. It was lovely to watch them as they were inseparatable, the funny part was you could never hear them talk, JJ never sang at school, the teachers just adored them because they were very sweet. JJ leftSt. Joseph’s College to be educated at O.E.I (Open Education Institute) where they really came off their shell.  At home they were different, JJ use to love to perform in front of the family, the twins use to imitate others, do dramas and dress up in funny costumes and sing to the family and relatives & friends. Jason always did funny things, and during Christmas Jason was always the Santa Clause, this went on for years until they grew out of it and felt very shy. To perform they were willing, communicating to anyone was a problem as they were shy. Their pictures were in many advertisements in magazines and papers.   Acting for Oliver Twist, which was produced by Jerome L. De Silva, was their first drama. JJ also had the opportunity to sing a song for the musical band Damage along with a few other kids at Waters Edge. They are very involved with church activities; JJ has always been very confident and very good at what they are doing. When it comes to sports unfortunately JJ did not want to follow the legendary Uncle Vernon Prins the firstCeylon’s Cricket Caption, instead they took to the mike and dropped the bat & ball. JJ play basket Ball and highly taken up with wrestling, they would never miss the WWE programs.   The passion for singing came from their hearts, they sang Hip Hop, R&B & pop at any function at home or with friends, they boldly sang with a lot of confidence.   Amazingly JJ started composing their own songs and making music. The  first song that they composed and sang was “The dogs in the house,” it is so funny but is became a hit where ever they sang it. Every song they composed was just in their minds, they never wrote the lyric’s down, the words the beats the tunes it just flowed with the wind, it was always inspiring & magical. For the two of them It was always them been together and doing things together, Singing is their hearts desire they beat box to most of their originals, JJ also play the guitar and sing. Jason has composed a couple of gospel songs, which will be out soon. The only thing that the two of them do not do together is dancing, Jason is the man for Hip Hop dancing and he does it in style.   Julian and Jason comes from a wide circle of family musicians, from the Dad and Mum’s side one of them is the famous musician Peter Prins and his son the dynamic drummer Christopher Prins, Ravel Crake the great guitarist the son of the famous legend Jerry Crake who had his own band Lewis the singer and great pianist and other family members Heather and Warren who performs in Europe for many years, the fabulous Natasha Ratnayake, Aldrin Gamage the man with a voice and many many more of popular artist from the past and present are a part of this great big musical family.   Julian and Jason are very talented creative & artistic, JJ are caring, loving and humble, loyal obedient boys always ready to help someone in need and always thinks of others first. JJ are very spiritual and love the Lord Jesus, to them without Jesus they are not able to do what they are doing now.  Right now their passion is to sing and they thank God for this wonderful talent he has blessed them with.
