Hated Related is an alternative rock band formed in late 2010 by Barron Driessen, Andy Groenewald and Andre Bruwer. Since its birth, the band has played only original material, written by the band as a whole. Hated Related has undergone two line-up changes, substituting the bass of Andre Bruwer first for Van Eyk Kirsten, then Megan Parish and now Kris Xenopoulos.

The music is a mixture of rock, punk and alternative genres in general. Influences range from Bob Dylan to the White Stripes and Led Zeppelin. Hated Related believes in stripped down, honest music.
All in all, Hated Related is a hard-working, fun-loving band, been through some good and bad times, but its all about the music.
