About JMar 2007 was a year that consisted of life changing events for the national R&B artist JMAR. Many things aided in shaping what was an awesome year for JMAR. Events such as performing the National Anthem for a second consecutive year at the New Mexico Bowl (Mountain West event), viewed by 32,000 people and nationally televised. JMAR has been steadily creating a buzz throughout the nation, MySpace and online in general through his own web site, www.jmaronline.com. JMAR’s first album, titled “Who I Am” was an album of which expressed real life situations, relationships, life, and personal growth. “Who I Am” is an album that you will listen to and will instantly relate to many songs. This album has gone on to sell out countless times at Hastings, online at CD Baby, and MyNewCD.com. Even more notable is the large amount of CDs JMAR has sold overseas. JMARs music quickly made a buzz not only in the New Mexico but gained in Arizona, California, Nevada, New York, California and Texas. His smooth and melodic sound and voice playing on the radio has made the name JMAR unforgettable. With all the hype in the entertainment industry about JMAR, the Source Latino and Down magazine have taken notice and have asked him to be featured in upcoming articles to be released in 2008. JMAR has had great success and has performed with many successful artists that are well known in the music industry such as: Lloyd, Frankie J, Baby Bash, music legend and one of his personal idols Jon B, Silk, Pitbull, Slim Thug, Brown Boy, Lil Rob, Paula DeAnda, Natalie, Pretty Ricky, New Ridaz, Play n’ Skillz, Ice Cube, Chingy, Chamillionaire, DMX, Fat Joe, SoFam, C Petty, V2, S. Malik Swayne, VVS and Christian artist DT Vocal. JMARs growing fan base and elite performance resume opened the door for offers for many shows. Naturally, with all his success, JMAR needed management. Power Moves Entertainment (PME) was quick to take notice of his success and took the opportunity to acquire JMAR. The PME team of Eric Martinez (CEO), Jon Chavez (VP of Operations), Jeremy Aragon (A&R), and Wesley Espinoza (Director of Promotions), the journey for the two was official. JMAR is on his way to being an internationally known R&B artist and his fame has only begun to grow. Currently JMAR is working on his second album, titled Eleven26-07. This sophomore album has so much meaning to JMAR, and the title is a tribute to his beloved grandmother who raised him and was laid to rest on November 26th, 2007. Without her love and motivation he wouldn’t be the man he is today, thus this was what inspired him to dedicate his work to her as she did for him as he was growing up. This new album not only has a special title and meaning, but has raised the bar for JMAR and his music. This album, JMAR has worked with an extensive line of producers from around the country. JMAR has been working in the well known Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California with the Professionals Music Group (PMG). Six songs were conceived and recorded while he was in Hollywood and have brought a whole new sound to JMAR fans to enjoy. Working with other great producers has added some flavor for JMAR fans ears. This highly anticipated and inspirational album will be out soon. You can also see JMAR as he will be walking the Red Carpet at the Source Latino Launch Party, as a special guest, to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also slotted to perform on the Source Latino Tour to be launched summer of 2008. Though his calendar is filling up quickly, JMAR is making way for other possible tours. You can also see JMAR this summer as he headlines his Summer Radio High School and College Tour, possibly being sponsored by Monster Energy drinks.
