JOHN DAVIS JADE John began taking piano lessons at age 7, and attended Summer school for music until the age of 13. In 1982, he resumed his musical education by enrolling into the former Upsala College as an undergraduate, he doubled majored in music and in communication/broadcasting. John performed twice with The Upsala Classical Choir in a seven-state tour, and on his second annual tour with the choir, he was the featured artist. This led to live performances on college radio stations, such as WFMU, located in East Orange, New Jersey and guest spots at various metropolitan colleges. He also toured with the Upsala College's Gospel Choir, which gave him more opportunities to showcase his original material. In 1987, John led a music team to West Africa for crusades with his home church, Praise, Power & Prayer Temple. He also performed at a 4th of July concert on the Mall in Washington, DC in 1987. In 1988, he enrolled in the former Center for the Media Arts School in New York City where he studied computerized music (midi-engineering), arranging and orchestration, scoring for movies, television and radio commercials. Over a period of 10 1/2 years, he worked for B&B Productions learning every aspect of the music business. By the time he left B&B Productions in 1991, he had become head In-house Writer, Arranger and Vocal Manager and had accumulated over one hundred hours of studio time. He had the opportunity to work with several producers, the late Buster Newman of B&B Productions, Hubert Eaves III, formerly of EMI and, Entertainer/Producer, Curtis King, Jr. John Davis Jade’s strongest influence in music has stemmed from Gospel, Pop, Jazz Classical and R&B. His desire for diversity has also drawn him towards the Reggae, Brazilian Jazz and Latin sounds. John Davis Jade is announcing the release of his second CD titled “Rare” with singles “Baby I Can Fly” and “Your Love” leading the way. “Baby I Can Fly” represents a person’s freedom to leave a bad relationship when they feel they are not appreciated. His storyline is very relatable. He sings this song with emotion and conviction right from the heart into yours. It’s a pop ballad that tells his special other person that he has the strength of Superman to fly away, so treat them right. “Your Love” is about a person who’s the loneliness person on the planet and wonders if there is love out there to save them from the life of solitude. It has a real cool up-tempo, with a sprinkle of a salsa beat. His vocals have a cool Pop/R & B tone to it that makes this and just about any other song sound sultry. These two songs have a very strong commercial appeal to them. They are radio friendly with plenty of great melodic runs, great hooks, great rhythms and nice piano solos. Each song is designed to keep your attention and to entertain, to tell a story and to pull at your heart strings. This... is John Davis Jade. “Rare” was released to the public in June, 2010 and this re-release is allowing new audiences to hear his wonderful music. And he has more on the way. His next upcoming CD “Here Comes The Pain” will be more of a pop, pop rock, dance and electric compilation of songs. This newest one is set for release sometime during the fourth quarter of 2011.
