Johnny Booth is a five-piece progressive metal band based out of both Long Island and Oneonta, NY. The band formed in November of 2007 and have since written and performed a total of 12 original songs. Their compositions are characterized by odd time signatures, aggressive beats, and experimental interludes. Johnny Booth is a five-piece progressive metal band based out of both Long Island and Oneonta, NY. The band formed in November of 2007 and have since written and performed a total of 12 original songs. Their compositions are characterized by odd time signatures, aggressive beats, and experimental interludes. However, Johnny Booth is not committed to one sound and enjoy playing outside of typical Heavy-Metal boundaries as exemplified by their Latin driven instrumental “Beneath the Pillars.” Some of their influences include The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, and Between the Buried and Me. Johnny Booth are known for their electrifying live shows that not only showcase their musicianship but also their intense energy. Performances in their hometowns have secured them a strong and loyal fan base as well as headlining slots for local shows. In the summer of 2008, Johnny Booth recorded their debut EP “Sagua” at RQR Studios in Pittsfield, Ma. Their music along with other merchandise can be bought through their myspace page.
