Welcome! I'm John Shaffer. I am an independent artist/producer who has a lot of new music available under the "Breeding Ground" label. Now a little about myself and my music: The CD "CHANGE" and my new CD "PUSH" are world/pop/electro type of music, which I sing and do a lot of piano and some guitar work on. I am not a great singer, but I believe the emotion in my music supercedes that. These songs are very personal to me and if you like artists such as Coldplay, Peter Gabriel, U2, Tori Amos, etc., I know you'll enjoy listening to these. Some reviews of these CD’s have also likened some material to Roger Waters or Warren Zevon which I consider a huge compliment. The CD "THE JOURNEY BEGINS" is an all-instrumental new age/world/jazz release. I do a lot of symphony arrangements in these songs and mix it up with light synth programming and different styles. If you like artists like Yanni, James Horner, or The Rippingtons, you will want to check this CD out. The CD "WATER SIGN" is pure mid-tempo electronica. Heavy synth/drum programming and all instrumental (except vocal samples) FX, etc. If you like electronic music and want to chill a bit with some funky jams... well you know what to do! I'm also write COUNTRY and R&B/RAP music that will soon be getting published for other artists'to record. I don't feel comfortable "performing" these- if you will. I also have a back catalog of hard driving trance electronica under the name "PANORAMIC" that will soon be remastered & re-released. My music has also recently been picked up by MTV to use in all their reality shows.
