Biography

I've been making noise all my life. I have memories from my childhood of family members always telling me to be quiet, but all that noise making turned into something melodic and pleasing to their ears. Sometimes while I was in church my grandmother would make me get up and sing in front of everyone and I'd be shaking, but I'd do it. I also learned to play the drums there; I was about 8 yrs old then. Besides music I’ve always been a big fan of skateboarding and you can even find me kick, pushing today I still love it. I started singing seriously when I was 16 yrs old practicing to the likes of Take 6, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men and Donnie Hathaway. I was so moved by these artists that I started writing my own lyrics and composing my own music at my friend’s house on Cubase. I would often take what I had composed that week home on a cassette tape, write lyrics to it, and dream about hitting the big stage with the best of them. As a grown man now at the age of 32 I have a different outlook on what being a musician means to me. I don't do it for money or fame, I do it because it's my God given gift and it's what I love to do. I truly feel that music is all I can and want to do. I no longer care about the praise or the fame that can come with great successes but only to be an asset to great works of music done by myself or anyone else that shares the same passion as I do for beautiful sounds. Last year I purchased Protools and Reason for a more competitive sound and learned to work the software and began recording my original material in my bedroom using the closet as my vocal booth. I like to make things happen when they are fresh in my mind and I don't want to have to wait for someone to do anything for me so I learned from watching friends and Youtube video's to do it all myself. I will forever be involved in music in some way and there’s always going to be that spark to make some noise just as I did when I was little.
