Joseph’s Fable is a Brisbane based alternate rock band, soon to release their eagerly awaited debut EP Memorandum. The tracks the world has so far been offered of the EP certainly provide the story the band’s name promises. Each lyric tells an eternal story of love and feeling in a new way, animated by layers of guitar, bass and drums. The clever lyrics, great guitar work and addictive rhythm evident in the tracks of Joseph’s Fable are rarely seen in a band so newly established. Perhaps this is because while the band is new to the music scene, the man behind the music is not. Vocalist and guitarist by trade, Brad Lyons has brought with him five years of gigs and experience to this new musical enterprise. The result is an energetic alternate rock sound - sometimes reminiscent of Goo Goo Dolls, Forty Foot Echo and Default – but every bit its own.
