Joujoux d'Antan are basicly a duo formed by Marco Tonincelli (vocals, guitar, lyrics and music) and Pietro Leali (trombone, piano and arrangements). Joujoux d'Antan are basicly a duo formed by Marco Tonincelli (vocals, guitar, lyrics and music) and Pietro Leali (trombone, piano and arrangements). The band born in 2003 in a quiet dusty flat in Maderno, just in front of the lake with Alfredo Cadenelli on bass, showing from the beginning its "indie" feature, because of the contrast between Marco's bright voice and dark-faded dreamy music parts. After some concerts in their hometown, the band record its first unofficial ep, "Nel mio Armadio", four songs like a declaration of intents of the band. The band is joined this period from Cristian Ruggeri (a young electric guitarist, former member of Fiori d'Oppio, released by Wallace Records) and Pietro Leali, graduated trombonist, who will also play keyboards and become the main arrangementist of the group. The official myspace page is opened in march 2006, and in september the band is chosen by Sean Lennon to be his support act for the whole european tranche of his Friendly Fire World Tour. The band will play, for its first time, in places such as La Cigàle in Paris and Bush Hall in London, the same band who just a couple of months before was never went out its countryside for concerts. The band starts to be well known in its hometown, and in 2007 decide to collaborate with the local Kandinsky Records , with whom release its first official ep : "Live à Le Grand Mix". The band has also joined by a new member: Doriana Marinelli, a young graduated cello player.
