Justin Smalley, originally from Lawton, Oklahoma, a competitor at the Infamous "Apollo Theater's Amatuer Night"in Harlem, New York, and an emerging Pop/R&B Recording Artist, is currently residing in Washington, D.C. Along side of his current profession as a Procurement/Contracting Specialist by day, Justin has pursued his own personal music endeavors such as writing, producing, singing by night and recording since the age of 15 in Edmond, Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City. Justin spent alot of his high school years at Edmond Memorial High School featured in the high school's "Star Search" oriented talent show cases and known as a local star. Upon graduation, Justin spent his first year or two out of high school touring Oklahoma City with his music, singing at local Oklahoma City clubs and venues. In 2000, Justin had already been recording he and his brother, performing under the name "X'cort" for two years in hopes of one day recording in Los Angeles, California and scoring a professional demo. By 2000, Justin had found some funding from a source who would take he and his brother to LA to record with a recording engineer who worked at Universal Music Group. The opportunity fell through. Justin continued to record he and is brother until Justin decided to re-locate to the East Coast to pursue a recording contract?!
Since 2001, Justin has released 2 solo albums, two mixtapes, performed north and south of the East Coast, and now working on his 3rd album titled " Under Cover Swag" slated for a Fall 2012 release date. Justin established his solo signature independent music label "Jus Entertainment Music" this March 2012, which is primarily comprised of himself and more artist to follow.
Justin found an independent light at the end of his tunnel in his years of pro-actively looking forward to leaving a Pop/R&B Music imprint on the world as those he admired have passed away and influenced many of the reason's Justin is still creating music today!
Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston and many more unnamed music recording artist are many of Justin's influence's, and Justin will continue to create, gather and influence as many fans with his music as possible!

Justin's past work can also be reviewed with his first album release " Feeling U, Feeling Me" and his second album titled " LOVE MATRIX". Justin's biological family back in Oklahoma in someway or another have all been indirectly or directly involved in some form of musical talent which influenced his cultivating of production skills, vocals and songwriting. At this point in time, Justin is still actively pursuing all avenues to gain national and international exposure whether signed or independently!
