Her influences began early as she fell asleep nightly to the top 40 on early 60s AM radio. Every well known folk singer, the British invasion, Elvis, Motown, the Beach Boys, Hee Haw, The Grand Ol' Opry, and Ed Sullivan mixed in with her parents' love for Big Band singers, Broadway musicals, Blues... it's all there, still bangin' around in her head after all these years, right along with a whole lot of other current influences. She's soulful, witty, longing, contemplative, wistful... sometimes downright melancholy followed by laugh out loud funny. Guitar is her main instrument, but she also plays electric bass, piano, percusion and a mean blues harp (harmonica). In 2005 Jules was nominated Best Female Singer/Songwriter for the Coachella Valley Music Awards.
