Originally from London, Ontario, Julia started taking piano lessons at age 4 and quickly developed a love of Debussy, Mozart and performing classical music. Her love of popular music grew as well and she began writing and composing her own songs by the 6th grade. Originally from London, Ontario, Julia started taking piano lessons at age 4 and quickly developed a love of Debussy, Mozart and performing classical music. Her love of popular music grew as well and she began writing and composing her own songs by the 6th grade. She studied classical piano at the University of Toronto and completed her Bachelor of Music Education in 2007. Along with performing at different venues around Toronto and London, her musical career has also taken her online, with a particular emphasis on youtube. There she has had a measure of success through homemade music videos. As a co-producer of "Canadian, Please" (a comical foray into rap and patriotism) she saw one of her videos go viral (over a million hits on Youtube) and has had the pleasure of performing in Niagara Falls for the Olympic Torch Relay as well as having the video played at the Ontario Pavillion in Vancouver during the Olympics. Julia is currently writing and recording songs in Toronto and plans to release her debut CD this summer (2010)!
