I was always confused about what i wanted to be afterwards, and the truth is I still don't know! I can't imagine a career that doesn't involve music. My music interest ranges from all over the place. If it has a good beat, and lyrics that affect me personally, it's gonna be stuck in my head forever;) If I could sing with any artist it would definately be Gavin Degraw. I just think he is a genius when it comes to songwriting. His music is so different and inspiring! If I couldn't sing with him, I would beg him to write me a song that I could sing. His lyrics are poetry. If I could become known as an artist, I would love to write my own music. I've written a few songs that were ok. My favourite was the one that I wrote when my grandfather passed away almost 2 years ago. That experience was so hard for me, but that song came so easily. The odd thing is that I didn't use an instrument to come up with it, I just wrote the lyrics. After that I imagined how the music would sound. I memorized music to a song that didn't exist! I went to vocal lessons a few days later and was like, "I wrote a song and i want accompaniment on the piano." So my teacher listened to me hum it and she wrote down the notes, and there it was. My very own song. So, I love to write songs, but I don't play a song-writing instrument. All i've ever played was the violin. I recently started learning piano from my YOUNGER sister, yes that's right. But you gotta do what you gotta do. I want to learn the guitar some day so that I can perform my own music. My sister and I are very close. She's my best friend. We often sing together for family and relatives, like a concert with our mics and amps. One time when I went to the X to sing a few songs on stage, I asked her to come up on stage with me so that we could sing the last song together! She was suprised and nervous, but she appreciated it later on. There is nothing more exciting than singing your heart out when you sing at all. That's all I ever do when I perform and it's all I want to do. If there's a future in music for me, then great! If not, then i'm gonna just keep singing for me and for the people I care about.
