Their unique talent for music was discovered at the age of 11 when they became the youngest members of the SDA Senior Church Choir under the direction of the late Glen Richardson, who discovered the twin’s gifts for site reading and choral singing at such a tender age & without any formal training. They developed a passion for writing & producing songs of their own. With careful training and Guidance from their parents they pursued these talents and formed the gospel duo “The Johnson Sisters”. It wasn’t long before theCaribbeanembraced this young new talent who not only were sisters, but twins. Their Inspirational songs and easy melodies quickly created a demand for an Album.   In November of 1995 “The Johnson Sisters hit the airways with their Debut Album “Believe in a Better Day” which earned them much acclaim in theCaribbeanwith hit songs such as “Believe” & “I wanna Thank you Lord”. In 2000 the Twins changed their name to “JUMELLE” which is French for” Twin”. The Success of their first album created a demand for a second and in  2001 Jumelle debuted their new  hit single “The Lord Keeps Blessing me” from their 2nd album “ Refuge” winning them the 2002-2003 Caribbean Gospel “Marlin” Music Awards in Nassau Bahamas.   Jumelle has since traveled the world sharing the stage with renowned names such as; Fred Hammond, Bebe & Cece Winans, Yolanda Adams. On March 14th 2008 Jumelle released their third album “Created to Worship” produced by Music Man Dre Productions, LLC. Holding 8 nominations for the 2010 Caribbean Gospel Music Awards, this album features all original vocal materials written by Lililita Johnson Forbes and music composed by Husband Andre “Music Man Dre” Forbes. Gospel Fusion is their new creative expression combining genres such as Contemporary Gospel with Soca, Dancehall, and Celtic & Alternative music. “Created to Worship” showcases Jumelle’s talent & determination to bridge religious & Cultural Barriers in World. Lililita J. Forbes conducts workshops to church Choirs & Praise teams offering creative tools for improving performance, sound and the overall worship experience. Ilinita J. Mack mentors aspiring musicians, writers & producer.
