We dream large in hopes that someday a fraction of what we wish for might come true; we dream to rid ourselves of the burdens of this world. When I was younger it seemed easier to dream, everybody always said “dream big and don’t look back”; nothing was ever too large to wish for. At 22 years of age I constantly find myself looking in the rearview, and the voices telling me to “dream big” don’t seem to come around as often as they used to. In fact it seems like the older we grow, the more ridiculous we look chasing the dreams of our childhood. I’m through looking ridiculous. Some people dream of being doctors, I dream of healing people with my words; no one ever said you had to be an astronaut to reach for the stars. I dreamed that I would create great music that would allow others to dream like I have. I dreamed that my music would allow people to always look ahead, whether through the good or the bad. I dreamed that I would prove them all wrong one day…I live this dream every day.
