I have been performing all my life and sang my first lead role at the ripe old age of 12 in the Operetta Cinderella. I started off as a classical singer and was a voice and theatre major in university. I have toured both in Canada and the U.S.A. and have sung most genres of music. I love variety and write in most genres as well. In the 80’s I won a province wide talent search in my home province of Nova Scotia and at that time I was doing country music so I released two country singles both of which charted on the Canadian Country Charts. In the 90’s I taught myself to play piano and started seriously writing songs. In the fall of 1995 I released my debut CD “The Heart And The Mind” which fits nicely into the genre of Country/Folk. This album was well received and is still getting airplay around the world. The first single off of this CD “A Song For Lorian” placed in the top 10% out of 3000 entries in the 1997 International Unisong Contest. The second single that was released off the CD “You’re My Addiction” garnered me a nomination from American Country Radio for Best Singer in Airplay International’s King Eagle Music Awards held in Nashville in September 2003. In September 2006 I released my newest CD “Love Is All There Is “which is a theme album that explores the different dimensions of love. This CD, which fits into the AC/Soft Pop genre, has received rave reviews from all across Canada and has charted on several radio stations such as number 7 on CHLY 101.7 in Nanaimo, BC’s jazz chart in February 2007 and number 8 on the Folk/Roots/Blues chart on CILU 102.7 FM in Thunder Bay ON. in April 2007. In October 2007 I was nominated for 4 Music Awards in the Toronto Exclusive Magazine Awards for all of Canada. I perform mostly around Southwestern Ontario with multi-instrumentalist Jake Levesque.
