About Katius The sky is the limit when a group of individuals come together with a shared vision of success and creative expression. In the case of Dayton, Ohio’s KATIUS, five friends have dedicated themselves to bringing their rich vocal harmonies, melodic guitar riffs, and irresistible hooks to the rest of the world. Formed in early 2005, KATIUS combines influences such as Blink-182, Lostprophets, New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy, and Greenday with their own distinctive musical approach to create a sound that is raw but refined, loud but subtle, and unique yet familiar. With Kyle Elwood on lead vocals, Danny Adams on guitar, Kevin Peterson on guitar and vocals, Drew Phipps on bass and vocals, and drummer, Kyle Steele, KATIUS pours their collective souls out on stage creating an enthralling live performance where audience members simply cannot take their eyes off the stage. Their first EP, “Don’t Give ‘Em The Stick” put them on the map, and their second recording, “The Getaway,” is scheduled for release in December 2007 and will likely catapult them into the national spotlight. They’ve already had a taste, as their energetic live shows have landed them primo opening slots for bands such as Red, Dead Poetic, Showbread, Sullivan, Run Kid Run, The Wedding, Last Tuesday, Rude Buddha and many others.
