Singer/songwriter from Denver Colorado by way of Biloxi, Japan, Hawaii. As a teenager I began writing short stories and poems to help shroud the boredom of life growing up in the country. It wasn’t until the fall of 1999 however, after an involvement in a fatal automobile accident that I started mixing words with melody. As art often imitates life my first completed song “Last Day” a painful account of tragedy and self-healing emerged with the help of composer Jody Calhoun. Songwriting at that point became more than just words, more than just a recollection. It became an outlet, an outlet I would tap into for the next six years while writing and performing with an original rock band. Throughout my role as singer/songwriter for the group I've been fortunate enough to enjoy the success that accompanies over three hundred performances, several at some of the nations finest venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Invesco Field at Mile High, South Park Music Festival as well as several performances in Utah, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. While on a break from performing with my group in the summer of 2006 I began work on a side project, one that would allow me the freedom to explore a simpler side of storytelling. With boxes and boxes full of lyrics scribbled on napkins, notebooks, and even the occasional cigarette pack at my disposal I eventually completed my debut solo EP in early 2008. Again art imitates life with the track “Worlds Apart” (a fragile look into the hearts and minds of families of soldiers) written for my brother who serves in the U.S. Army. With a sound that’s been compared to a blending of Americana, Pop, Acoustic and a dash of Country, I continue to write life from my perspective verse by verse. I'm not planning on re-inventing the wheel just adding a few spokes and hopefully it'll strike a chord with someone out there in the great wide world.
