John Quincy Pearce was born on August 28th 1990 in Queens, New York. He spent the first 7 years of his life living with his 3 siblings and mother in the Ocean Village Projects. However, in 1997, John and his family would relocate to Ocala, Florida. It was whilst living in the Steeplechase apartment complex that he would meet his close friend and future associate Marc Ramos (Y.P.). It wasn’t untilmoving to the southeast side of Ocala in 2004 that John would begin recording music as part of the group Kingstreet Stunnaboys (K.S.B.). This group would release a CD and included Kenneth Brown (KD da Boss), Marcus Heckstall (T-lovely), James Rattley (J-Scoop), and Virgil Robinson (Lil Redd). K.S.B. would begin to generate a buzz locally and began to perform at local parties and festivals in surrounding towns. In 2007, K.S.B. released their second CD that would push them to the higher echelons of the Ocala Hip-Hop scene. However, in 2008 the group would split due to differences in opinions and long-term goals. After the dismantling of the rap group, John-Q would take a short break from music and moved to Gainesville to focus on school. But, in 2011, the draw of music would be too strong and, after some persuasion from his older cousin Demetrius Cobb (Slymm), John would record his first solo song and accompany it with a video entitled “What Was”. After seeing the public response to this record, John became encouraged to continue on with his music and began work on his CD “Theoretically Poetic.” It was at a concert in May 2011 when Y.P., KD da Boss, Slymm, and John would decide to come together and create a company to help them achieve their musical aspirations. This led to the creation of All My Homies Incorporated (AMH). John Q now strives to make music that is introspective and allows the listeners to reflect upon their own lives and beliefs. Largely influenced by the underground, John Q seeks to be an independent artist with the hopes of enlightening and uplifting those who are fortunate enough to listen to his music
