Kelle Wardle has accomplished many things for a young un-signed nineteen year old. She was a finalist in Okanagan Star Search in November 2003 and was a semi-finalist in the 2007 competition. She was a “Rising Star” in the Country Christmas Showcase at Kelowna Community Theatre, and sang at Memorial Cup in a retro show with Cooper Studios. She has also performed at the Richmond Night Market. Kelle was one of 40 semi-finalists chosen from over 500 entries, for the 2006 Vancouver Star Discovery, at the PNE in August. Kelle sings pop/rock, country, some retro and even classical. Her sound is a mix of Kelly Clarkson, Shania Twain, Sheryl Crow, and Sarah McLachlan. Kelle was born on April 8th, 1990 in New Westminster, British Columbia. “I always loved to perform and enjoyed being in the spotlight”. But she didn't really discover her true talent until she was eight years of age when she was asked to sing “My Heart Will Go On” at a school assembly accompanied by a slide presentation from the Titanic movie. She was given further opportunities to sing in Rutland May Days and has had a spot for the past eight years. In 2002, Kelle joined a talent developing center called Cooper Studios and worked with Jan Cooper from Pump Records. “Since I joined Cooper Studios my singing talent and stage presence has improved”. She has worked with Modern Voice & Talent since September 2004 and has already performed at over 100 events with them. Kelle can be seen performing at local events in the Okanagan area. In the last couple of years, Kelle has pursued classical music, expanding her repertoire even further. “I find there are even classical points in my song writing now.” Kelle had the opportunity to take a Royal Conservatory grade 6 voice exam in January of 2009 and received First Class Honors. Another talent she has pursued is acting. Although her first love is singing, she also enjoys acting. She has been one of the lead actors in school musicals and has acted lead parts in church productions. She also worked with the music and drama team for kids club previously at Willow Park Church. “I would love to do musical theatre. I have been eyeing a couple of big productions.” Kelle was a part of the Theatre Kelowna Production “BC Follies” in the fall of 2008. Kelle is in the process of writing songs for a future demo. "I write tons of songs all the time, almost constantly.” Kelle has been sent many different songs (from all around the world) for her demo. Kelle picked up guitar in order to further her songwriting skills, and now leads the worship team at her church. “I originally wanted to focus on the voice, but ending up finding a love for guitar as well.” Kelle has performed her original works at local events and has received great reviews. Kelle is thankful to have all the support she needs from her family and friends. She has gained fan approval at many performances. She is very consistent and hard working and determined to pursue her dreams.
