Having grown up playing many instruments, Blayer decided to take advantage off from school and begin a new project by himself in the summer of 2002. He would go on to write very sad and slow songs. Blayer implemented Moog synthesizer, Triton Keyboards, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Live Drums, and Electronic beats. He chose lyrical themes from his colorful childhood in the hood of Newark and his love for Alternative music. Recording began at his older brothers house. Lery Point-du-Jour was an accomplished rapper and had all the tools necessary for creating demos. Blayer became a regular fixture at the studio, recording 4 days a week. “I had absolutely nothing to do in Newark. So I decided to immerse myself in creating music. Most times I would just come up with a beat and write music all on the fly.” says Blayer. The young Lad decided to name the project Anna Gardens in memory of his Grandmother Anna Pierre who had just passed away months earlier. “A couple weeks after I chose the name, I noticed a picture my mom had just set out. It was my grandmother standing in this beautiful garden in Haiti! It was so weird!” says Blayer. The sound of the music changed many times. After 15 songs came into existence they began to take the same form. A new sound! A new voice! Blayer decided that he had had an enough of NJ. So he made the move to Philadelphia in the summer of 2006. With no place to record for free, Blayer shelved the project and began to play drums in Miss Argentina. The band recorded an album at the highly acclaimed Inner Ear Studios with Don Z. The band soon disbanded. Blayer decided to play the old Anna Gardens songs out live. He needed a band to do so. So he enlisted the help of Matt Schenk and Daniel Peterson. Matt had played in Miss Argentina and My Fallen America with Blayer. Daniel Peterson played in Rozel with Blayer. The band decided to play under the name KID KREYOL.
