Killa J (born KJ Harkness) is a Georgia native, hailing from the city of Athens. At the age of seven, Killa J began composing rhymes which allowed the groundwork formation for his later success. KJ currently attends Virginia Tech where he studies at the Pamplin College of Business. On April 3rd, KJ is confirmed to open for Wiz Khalifa in Blacksburg, Virginia. In addition, he has been offered the position of opening artist for Dr. Dre in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The debut single “Wake Up”, which features Ricky Ruckus, began as an internet sensation and is now receiving radio as well as DJ attention across the country. KJ’s debut mixtape, 4th and Inches, is scheduled to be released on April 20th.
Killa J has a remarkable and tenacious work ethic. He strives to construct at least one song a day. With only 19 years of life, his potential to dominate the hip hop industry is becoming ever so obvious. KJ’s use of literary devices as well as his masterful wordplay is inimitable in modern times.
