After leaving a career in music at the ripe old age of twenty, Kris Harper packed his bags and gear, headed back to his home turf in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Kris began playing occasional gigs at local acoustic venues, opening for friends and the like. It was at one of these shows that he was formally introduced to bassist Matt Moss. The two knew instantly that they would someday work together. That day came sooner than expected when both became employed by Eclecto-Groove recording artist, Mike Zito. After extensive nationwide touring as rhythm guitarist, sharing vocal duties with Mike Zito, Kris decided to return to a solo career, still maintaining a close friendship with former Zito band-mates. Fast-forward a year and a half...Kris and Matt began making music together, again. It wouldn't be long before they pulled in seasoned studio engineer Marcus Sawyer on lead guitar, and Trey Newmiller on drums. Armed with over thirty years of combined experience in the entertainment business, a musical chemistry and stage presence that no one can deny, and a song-list featuring artists such as John Mayer, Foo Fighters, Rolling Stones, The Commodores, Stone Temple Pilots, and many, many more, the Kris Harper Band continues to tour the region and abroad with nightclub and corporate gigs focusing on high energy pop/rock covers.
