Born to a traditional Cuban family in Miami, FL Kristy displayed an intense passion for music before she could even walk. Born Kristina Caridad Rodriguez on October 16th 1988, her family instantly knew she would be a performer. At the tender age of eight, Kristy began vocal training at a local Non-Profit Theatre organization. Since that very moment, Kristy has shown she will stop at nothing to become the very best. Kristy did not have an ordinary childhood. She began performing in local musical productions by the time she was ten, productions such as; “The Wizard of Oz”, “Once on this Island” and “Grease”; just to name a few. She also performed in the musicals “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”, “Pippin” and “Children of Eden” at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Kristy spent almost all of her time perfecting her craft; not only with vocal training but also in piano, dance, acting and modeling. Her dance studies include Jazz, ballet, Latin and Hip-Hop. “When my friends were out at the movies or at the mall, I was singing; it was always my first priority. Nothing makes me happier and there is nothing I would rather do” Kristy emotionally explains. Kristy was also always a part of her school’s choir. There, she received “Superior Rating” numerous years in a row for her solo performances. She was also a part of the “Candle Light- Voices of Liberty Choir” for “Walt Disney World” three years in a row. Kristy also participated in numerous school productions and even the dance team. At the age of 17, Kristy participated in a World Wide competition known as “Talent Rock”. At that competition Kristy met with representatives from several of the largest record labels. There she was told her talent would take her far and wide. As a result, she met Jason Davis-president of “Fahrenheit Music Group”, a continuous positive influence in this young singers’ life. Since then, this bilingual singer/songwriter has recorded multiple singles such as “Closer”, recorded with a multi platinum producer bringing her new powerful Pop sound to the table. Her second single “Handle It” produced by Jae Heat part of the infamous “Team Pitbull” brings that Miami club sound to life. “Impossible” brings the sultry singers voice straight to the hearts of all the broken hearted and was performed at “Webster Hall” in New York. Her latest single “Caught up” was released at the 2011 Orange Bowl Fan Zone, this talented artist had the honor of closing the show and her music was received with enormous applause. Kristy is currently working on the release of her first album and it will definitely be the talk of the town. Now she is located in between New York and Miami and is stirring up these major cities with her latest interviews. Some of which include: “A-List Radio Station”, “Radio Mezcla FM”, “C.Y.P.H.E.R Magazine”, “Urban Latino Radio Station” and with Hollywood Host, “Cognac Wellerlane”. Kristy is also signed non-exclusively to “Model Management, Inc” located in New York. “I never thought I would be modeling, it’s funny where life takes you” Kristy states. Kristy’s commanding voice and vivid personality make her prominent. She is now searching for exposure and most of all your support! Kristy is truly a breath of fresh air, the complete package.
