Although born in Venice and growing up in London, KVN performance career actually started in New York at the famed Silver Cup Studios in Queens. As a 12 year old, he was picked to be part of a pop goup that performed daily on an Italian variety show so intent on showcasing the best artists in the world, it had to be filmed in the U.S. Marco was fortunate enough to start his career singing and dancing along side legends like James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Tina Turner and Frank Sinatra to name a few.In the mid nineties, frustrated with the music scene in Italy, Marco moved to London in hopes of finding others who shared his same vision of music. Starting out as an accoustic guitar trio playing small coffee houses and pubs, by 1998-99 "Kevin" (a slight coencidence that it is also Marco's middle name)now a full on rock band was playing venues like the prestigious Astoria Theatre and opening for bands like Sugar Ray at the height of SR's popularity. The buzz around London was so constant, they came to the attention of Gavin Rossdale who after seeing them play chose "Kevin" to accompany Bush to promote "The Science of Things" on their European tour in 2000. The success of this tour landed the band an endorsement deal with Wind communications back in Italy. This gave the band an opportunity to start work on the self titled EP, KVN . Wind invested $500,000 into a project which included recording, a video shoot in Mexico, two commercials and extensive promotion. The result was the independent release of the EP which was distributed in 900 stores throughout Italy and sold over 250,000 units in six weeks. The song from the original demo, Time, was used in Wind's telephone commercials which aired on both television and every Warner Cinema movie screen in Europe. An extensive European tour soon followed.Even though his first record, which was English language, had tremendous success, Italian labels were unwilling to ask him to record a follow up record in English, thinking that singing in Italian would be the way to capitalize on his popularity. Knowing it would mean quick success, but also risk closing himself off to the rest of the world, Marco again chose to leave Italy to make his music on his own terms. His travels took him to the United States, where he spent a lot of his time in Los Angeles and Miami where he recorded and experimented with various styles of music, taking him from basement studios in Compton to high class facilities in Miami and Santa Monica. Finally, in 2004, he felt that he found the sound he wanted for his next album. Heading back to Italy and the renowned Red House Recording studio in the countryside of Umbria Marco started work on would eventually become the Sweet Conspiracy album. After moving to Atlanta (a place he was finally ready to call home) and continuing to produce the album himself, Marco put together a team of the top music professionals in Atlanta to finish his album properly:Blake Eiseman, Grammy nominated Engineer for Usher’s ‘Confessions’ who also has multiple gold and Platinum albums to his name including Destiny’s Child, Outkast, Pink, Beyonce, Goodie Mob and others.Eddie Horst, whose arrangements garnered critical acclaim in Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Devils and Dust’ has also worked with groups like REM, Train and Collective Soul. Horst’s masterful string compositions were played by members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The album also features an all-star rhythm section of Tom Knight, Dre Bowman and Randy Hoexter. Tom Knight was the drummer for superstars TLC on their final two albums and tours and frequently works with Atlanta’s resident hit making producer and writer Dallas Austin. Dre Bowman has been used for his Bass talents not only by Atlanta’s famous faces like Usher, and Big Boi from Outkast, he can also be heard on albums from artists as diverse as India.Arie to major label acts like Ashely Simpson. Rounding out the trio, is Atlanta jazz legend Randy Hoexter. In addition to being revered for his playing skill, Randy is also a successful composer writing music for use in commercials by companies like IBM, Bank of America and PBSAll these elements, combined with music that is radio friendly, while containing depth most often found exclusively in the singer/songwriter genre create a style of music that can be enjoyed by every one, of any age and any background.
