Born and raised in suburban cities north of Birmingham, Alabama, Greg Payne began his musical career as most southerners do: at the age of three in his church choir. Since then, he has grown in his vocal prowess and has entered a number of competitions, has headed a couple of bands, and has remained a near-constant member of a chorus. Over the years, he has written his own music, as well as cover popular songs both of classical liturature and of modern times; in addition, he is currently in the process of creating his own EP under his stage pseudonym "L.A.Gee." (which is derived from his own name and the word "elegy" - a song or poem mourning the death of another). His love for music and his love for self-expression work hand-in-hand, as will be heard in his upcoming EP, tentatively titled "The Declaration". What is the Delcaration, exactly? The belief of peace, love, and the defiance of hatred and ignorance. The EP is aiming for a summer 2011 release.
