LAKSHMI combines the influences of five individuals to create an interesting take on Rock/Pop. With comparisons to Paramore, Kelly Clarkson, No Doubt, Dream Theater, and Coheed and Cambria, LAKSHMI covers a wide spectrum of music to provide a listener with a unique experience. Heart-felt and passionate lyrics, catchy melodies and riffs, dance grooves and rhythms make up the experience that is LAKSHMI. In the winter of 2010, the members of LAKSHMI hunkered down in their basement studio and recorded their debut self-produced full-length LP entitled LAKSHMI, which they self-released in August of 2010. Since then, they have been performing in many Connecticut venues that showcase local original music such as Toad’s Place, The Space, Webster Theater, and The Heirloom Arts Theater.
