I have plenty (30+) lousy home demos, and produced demos too. Just keep at it. My voice has developed over the years, and these recordings are 2 yrs old already, long story ... but yes, a full voice is always good, but sometimes soft is good too. I have scratch vocals on Down The Line, which means I'll be re-doing them before I release the full CD... but people still like it. They just don't know my full singing range yet because it has yet to be recorded! LOL! My best advice is what my Mom always told me, and that's to always sing my heart out, which I always do live, and plan to do on all my final vocals on every recording I do in the future, because it's harder in a studio setting to be free and uninhibited, especially if you don't know the producer or they have some other agenda. Lis Lewis has good vocal warm up tapes that I use too. Look her up online, and practice the tapes! Tell her I sent you! LOL Just don't stop, it all gets better!
