About Landyn Pittman
Detroit, MI
Landyn Rashad Pittman, also known as “Landyn Jackson” is the great-grand nephew of the late Rhythm & Blues pioneer Sunbeam Mitchell from Memphis, Tennessee. Writing, rapping, acting and singing since age 12, Landyn’s music is influenced by the pain, struggles and triumphs he has faced while growing up as the son of a preacher in metro Detroit. His hope is to help young people to be over-comers through the music he writes and produces. Born in Okinawa, Japan to parents; (retired Air Force Master Sergeant) Pastor Lance and Mrs. Dionne Pittman, with his 4 siblings, all reside in metro Detroit, Michigan. Landyn was featured on the locally syndicated talk show “Straight Talk” on UPN 50, and has participated in numerous talent shows and musicals.
