Singing acupella at the age of 7 with my sister at her age of 5, we had the most fabulous harmony, and everyone, everyone, was captured with our harmony, even today, there is a special quality in the way our voices blend, that will give you chills. At the age of 9, was my 1st year learning to play the cello in school. At the age of 11, my mother taught me to play the guitar. During my Junior high school year in Nagoya Japan at the air force service club, I picked up a string bass, and in just a few hours I was a string bass player. In my junior year in high school I started writing songs. After graduation and returning to the mainland, I learned electric bass, and I've been playing electric bass, since that time with different bands all over the USA as far west as Hawaii. After working with the Ernest Tubb show, I started working as a single one man band, singing, using a guitar and electric percussion. One of my favorite music pastimes is to stroll through an audience with my accoustic classical guitar, singing and playing request after request after request. I became known as the strolling troubadour.
