Singer/Songwriter Lesley B. was born Lesley Baptiste in beautiful Miami, Fl on April 26, 1988. Entertainment was never far from Lesley B.’s environment because his family would always have parties with the best music and Dj’s in town. He would take the dance floor and would crave the attention that he would soon gain. His first experience on stage was at age 5 when he danced at his pre-school commencement ceremony but it was just a taste of what he dreamed. At age 7, Lesley B. became musically inspired by the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes from top female R&B/Pop group TLC. He recalled first hearing “Waterfall” by TLC to be the moment that whatever he had inside of him was awakened. “I begin trying to sing anywhere and anytime, desperate to be heard.” Given the opportunity to sing with a choir at age 9 in his Elementary School was just the start he needed to fulfill his purpose on earth in becoming a sensation of entertainment. Than given the opportunity at age 10 to participate in a Talent Showcase as a solo act where he won first place overall. With winning, Lesley B. segued into a Performing Arts Program for Music where he studied for 4 years. Dancing seemed to have been Lesley B.’s start at a young age but was overshadowed when his singing became the focus. He began dancing again, but only to keep active. Soon after his High School graduation, he went into training to perfect what he considered the “thing” in me, what people considers a gift. In 2007, at age 19, Lesley B. found himself in Las Vegas, Nevada competing in the USA WORLD SHOWCASE, a way for him to prove that he still had “IT”, he won first place overall male vocals. In 2008, at age 20, Lesley B. was than on South Florida’s Deco Drive on WSVN chosen out of 300 submissions for the chance to audition for American idol season 8. Now 21, Lesley B. aspires to have the world listen to his lyrics and sensitive falsetto tone that find its way into people hearts and soul.
