LIL HEN Henry Gray ( LIL HEN ), was born in Hammond, Louisiana and raised in Houston, Texas. With more than 10 years of experience in the music industry, and a mixture of southern flavor and a universal appeal, Lil Hen is a force to be reckoned with. Lil Hen’s musical career began when he received his degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Mass Communications and worked at a Gospel and Country radio station along with the university’s television and radio station as well. He put together a few show pieces that incorporated choreography, showing off his multifaceted abilities. He began recording his own music along with local artists. This opportunity lead to producing commercials for Baton Rouge’s artists Lil Boosie and Webbie, and being offered a spot as the opening act for a Lil Boosie show. With such great exposure and the tremendous talent to match, Lil Hen began to travel around the Southern Coast opening for other talent on the Trill Entertainment Label, including 3 Deep and Foxx-a-Million, as well as opening for such artists as UTP Juvenile, Cash Money’s Lil Wayne, Trillville, and BG to name a few.A background in acting and dance earned Lil Hen a small role in Ray starring Jamie Foxx. He moved to Hollywood, California and was the opening act for Lil Zane and landed a television role on Hogan Knows Best where he was featured as a musical guest on Paul Wall and Brooke Hogan’s video “About Us”. He also booked shows with Too Short and E40. Now back in Houston, Lil Hen is still generating buzz. He has opened for Lil O and Slim Thug.
