First, and still a film producer, director, actor and writer, Cameron Johnston had been in the film industry for 5 years. He had made films such as Running Red Rain, Locked Up and The Assassin. Him and his crew would make these films for fun to send to their friends and the internet. But now Cameron is taking a different route in the entertainment industry, Songwriting. Cameron started making his first song in October of 2008. He didn't have a name for himself yet, he just was so happy he could write his own lyrics and make his own beats. Cameron's role model is T-Pain. He says he is because of the Auto-Tune. He says that what the Auto-Tune does to the voice is just amazing. Cameron used Auto-Tune in his first song and some of his others. Cameron thought his first song, Let's Get It Up, was his worse. After this first song Cameron came up with a name. He wanted his name to do with something small because he is only 14. He decided to call himself Lil Dr!ll. He thought it was a great name, but never actually knew why he called himself that. He then made his second song, Thinkin' Bout' Her Drink. This he thought was better because it was his first rapping song. After this a friend of Cameron's told him that Lil Dr!ll is cheesy. Cameron thought about it after and agreed. Cameron then changed his name to Lil Sk!ll which he thought was a lot better. His friends thought it was too. After the name change he was sick of club songs and decided to make a love song called Baby. Cameron, to this day thinks that this is his best song. He loves the beat, his voice and the length. He liked the length because it was 4 minutes and all of his other song are below 3 minutes which made him angry. Cameron's self-titled debut album was released on January 26th. The track list had a total of 16 songs. The album sold 14 so far, and made $32 so far. Cameron is now working on a new album which he plans to release in the later year. Cameron says that the album will have a new approach and a new style. One day Cameron hopes to be a famous singer/rapper and work with T-Pain and Nappy Boy Entertainment.
