Lions and Lords Reggae Band is the inspiration of Ras Kamaal Amen Ra through the divine intervention of Jah Rastafari. As Soljahs of Rastafari, we are livicated to make a wholesome, positive change in the world in all our journey, with Rasta Musik. This musik is the reincarnation and blending of the sounds and musik of Detroit's Revolutionary Conscious Culture Reggae Movement. As one of the original founding members of Detroit's revered "AKOBEN" reggae band, Ras Kamaal's unique vocal style and prolific song writing helped to shape Detroit's Conscious Reggae Explosion in the 80's and the 90's. All of the musicians with Lions and Lords are seasoned professionals with a profound love and respect for Conscious Reggae Musik and the Power that it has to unburden the hearts and minds of Humanity. Musik, divinely inspired from Jah Iternally. Our livication and our conviction is to perservere with the truth in the words, the rhythm and the musik. I an I wholly acknowledge that Reggae Musik is purposely given to the world, by Jah Almighty, to sow the seeds of love again into the hearts, minds and deeds of the people in these trying and troubling times. I strong livication is to uphold the rich musikal legacy of those who have trod before us everywhere, in thought, word and deed.
