Live from the Sun began in the summer of 2008 in Cumberland, RI. 19 year-old Brian Seaver and 20 year-olds Nicholas Iwuc and Daniel Forman decided to rekindle a partnership originally forged two years earlier in their high school band. Upon entering college, the three began to write songs collaboratively. The band now considers themselves Boston-based as two members attend Brandeis University and one attends Berklee College of Music. When school resumed in the fall of ‘08, Forman’s friend from Brandeis University, David Jacobs squared off the group on drums. Three weeks later, Live from the Sun went into the studio with local, Grammy-nominated producer George Dussault who helped the group record the three-song, Paralyze EP. The band then began to play a string of shows at Brandeis University as well as small shows in the Boston and Providence areas. Three months later, new songs were written prompting the group to cut another five tracks which were combined with the previous three to create The Rising Sun EP. The band then began cultivating a strong New York and Boston fan base via Myspace. Live from the Sun is currently on a brief, three-month hiatus while the guitar player studies in London but plan on touring at the end of the school year. Bottom line: Listen to the music.
