Antonio Manuel Muñoz Bennett (born December 9, 1986), known commonly as L.o.C’ (Lyrically Overshadowing my Competition) is a talented upcoming rapper in Jamaica. L.o.C’ was born in Kingston, St. Andrew, where he was raised for the first part of his life before moving to Spanish town, St. Catherine. L.o.C’ began attending High School in 1998 where he was first introduced to hip-hop. Artists such as; DMX, Eminem and Big L captivated his mind and caused L.o.C’ to take a dramatic interest in the art. Around this time his parents were on the verge of a divorce. On separation his mother moved to St. Catherine and because of circumstance L.o.C’ was force to stay with his father as school was just up the road. His father had a strict idea on how he raised L.o.C’ not allowing certain privileges to be given. The only possession at that time which was of extreme value to L.o.C’ was a Compact Disc player which his mother had bought him. This presented a situation which allowed him to become entrenched in the Hip Hop music. By the 10th grade L.o.C’ was recognized as one of the elite rappers by successfully competing in freestyle battles at an event held every Thursday set up by him and his friends. At the end of high school L.o.C’ moved to St. Catherine to live with his mother. Through his older cousin who has now passed away (Orlando Shea) he met Big Beast who was also pursuing a music career at the time. With respect for each others craft a friendship was found, Big Beast in turn introduced L.o.C’ to D1 and Ru’ral. L.o.C’ is currently working on his debut solo album called ‘The Locomotive’ and is currently featured on D1’s truthfully speaking mixtape which is out now.
