Take, for example, the sixties-style Holy Trinity of Garage-punk, Power, and Pop, throw in a grain of Junkshop Glam for good measure and add a healthy dose of good old pub-rock a la Dr Feelgood and you´ll get a band producing hooky tunes and playing adrenaline-drenched gigs: the LOVE MESSENGERS from the Satakunta region of Finland.  The band that always drives on full speed is comprised of the veteran of Pori Rock guitarist-singer Timo "Still Crazy" Pääkkö, eccentric organ-wizard Jussi Reunamäki, bassist Tarmo "Entwhistle of Eurajoki" Lehtonen and drummer Jaakko "Crazy Kid" Kotiniemi.  The criminal records of the band members files have such names as Kinsky, Penniless People of Bulgaria, Electric Crayon Set and Elonkorjuu and to name but a few.  LOVE MESSENGERS are releasing a 3 song EP "Dogsmile" in March 2013. The original tunes on the EP written by Timo Pääkkö are the soul-searching rock-anthem "Dogsmile" and the poppy "Tarkka" which is reminiscing a long-gone friend from youth who did not always walk the narrow path. The third ear-candy on the record will be a rocking remake of the Trevor White/The Jook cult powerpop classic "Crazy Kids".  The EP in question is the first release by the current line-up. In 2010 the original line-up of the band released a cover-album "We Said We Said". The drummers post at that time was occupied by a "Finnished" brit-pop veteran Keith Hall. Especially the furious versions of "Save My Soul" and "Your Body Not Your Soul" received lots of attention, with the latter ending up on the blog of the Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach.
