From the fun times of 3 high school friends, Devin Aldrich, Anthony Robert and Kyle Fitch, Low Flying Planes arrived into the world as an outlet for stress and school. What they didn’t know is that this would soon turn into something much bigger than that. Rooted in Clyde, NY, the trio soon moved to Rochester, NY and joined forces with Jenna Owens who met Devin in college choir and they have been in a relationship ever since! After working together for a short time, they decided that Nina Schollnick would be the final addition to the group.
Now, this dynamic quintet has begun to take over, starting at their home base in Rochester, NY. Playing rock is one thing, and pop is another but Low Flying Planes finds a way to combine these two genres in ways that many can’t grasp on their own. One of the many things that make LFP unique is the dual, male/female vocals. Devin and Jenna’s voices compliment each other so well and bring their songs to the next level. This is something that other artists try to master all of the time. Compared to 3 Doors Down and Foo Fighters, LFP is well known for sending catchy beats and melodies your way with a deep twist that makes their listeners wanting more. The band has worked insanely hard to keep this going, playing a set full of original material, and playing often all over town.
LFP works tirelessly to ensure that their performance, presence and every aspect of their image is a strong and as fresh as they are passionate about their craft. Recently, the band finished their first full-length album and is gearing up to release it in Spring 2013. Not only that, Low Flying Planes constantly gains exposure through blogs, webzines, newspapers and radio play. Playing at many colleges as well as on the college radio stations, the word is growing bigger and faster that LFP is the next American Rock group. 3 of their songs on the first album, “Waves”, “Breakdown” and “Noah’s Ark” have been rated in the top 700 out of 50,000 others in the same genre by the Sound Out Team. Most recently the band was selected to play at Canadian Music Festival with many other artists including Rihanna! Needless to say, Low Flying Planes strives for greatness on a daily basis; and through their style that is new to the world; they know that greatness is just above their fingertips, ready to be grabbed.
