About Lyle Divinsky
Soul. That’s what Lyle Divinsky brings to every song, every set. Channeling the honest essence of folk, the emotion of R&B, and the groove of funk, Lyle’s music just makes you feel good—plain and simple. Hailing from Portland, Maine, Lyle was surrounded by music from an early age. Whether it was stealing his parent’s old records or singing along with his soul-singing father, it was clear that music was in his blood. Since he began playing in Portland at age 17, Lyle has consistently sold out club venues, has had ample radio play all around Maine, sold over 500 copies of his newly released full-length album “Traveling Man” (May ’09), and has played all over the east coast, from Bangor, Maine to Miami, Florida. Lyle has shared the stage with members of The Rustic Overtones, Soulive, Lettuce, and graced some of the most celebrated venues in the Maine area, such as the Cumberland Country Civic Center and Merrill Auditorium. Now rising in the Brooklyn and New York City music scenes, playing many of the renowned clubs in Manhattan, as well as the up-and-coming, underground hotspots in Williamsburg, it is clear that Lyle Divinsky is on a road with no end in sight. Now paired up with the versatile and talented Nat Osborn, Lyle has set his sights on spreading his music from coast-to-coast. With a voice that silences a room and the organic honesty of his songwriting, Lyle’s music is sure to captivate any listener.
