Lyricarl AKA Don Carleone AKA Nusense is a lyricist and producer comin outta Manchester, England. After recording a mixtape with hip hop group Sick'll'Sell in 2003 he branched out into live performance He has been an MC for Live, six piece hip hop band, Illmemba for 2 and a half years. He has performed at various venues in Manchester and recorded songs with other aspiring emcees. In September 2007 he started a music production course and has been producing music for the last 2 years. Over the last year his production techniques have improved and he is currently working on several EPs with the other emcees from illmemba and Sick’llSell. "My influences vary greatly; my early musical experience was that of legendary singers such as Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, the Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Bill Withers, Aretha Franklin, Elvis and Bob Dylan. In my teens I began to listen to hip hop music. Lyrically I call on the songs I have heard from artists such as; Erik B & Rakim, KRS one, A Tribe Called Quest, Big L, Nas, Jay-Z, Big Pun, Biggie, Tupac Shakur RIP, Mos Def, Common, Canibus, Method Man, Redman, Eric Sermon, Proof, Eminem, Army of the Pharaohs and Immortal Technique. Recently I have been listening to less hip hop as I believe the more modern it has got the further away from true hip hop it has become. At the moment I am trying to expand my musical horizons listening to anything from Kings of Leon to John Martyn and back to hardcore metal bands such as 6foot Ditch. I believe that no matter the genre if the song appeals to me I should listen to it and take what I can."
