Corey McCrary was born on August 8, 1989, and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Being born in a poverty struck environment Corey turned to music as his positive outlet. Corey McCrary also known as MacNiffy in the artistry movement began rapping at the age of 14. He created his meaningful rhymes not only for popularity but as a longing passion he wanted to expand. As a result alongside with his brother and cousin they formed a group called the I.C.U in the year 2007. Later that year the I.C.U. released their greatest hit single entitled “Radio Loud’’, which took the New Orleans hip hop scene by storm. MacNiffy then established his name by the legendary “GO DJ” E.F. Cuttin that stated “Macniffy has one of the most influential verses in New Orleans history”, speaking from the song entitled “Ashame”. One of MacNiffy’s latest accolades was being awarded "Best Rappers of the South" by the legendary Hip Hop producer Manny Fresh at the 2009 Industry Influence Awards in New Orleans, LA, which was sponsored by Q93 FM and Clear Channel Communications. MacNiffy then decided to further his solo career to challenge his own personal style and lyrical abilities. He has had the opportunity to perform on the same stage as legendary Hip Hop Producers and DJs such as Pete Rock, Manny Fresh, D12, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Knux, The Kids in the Hall, Little Brother, Curren$y, Nesby Phips, J Electronica, Mickey Facts, and Wiz Khalifa. He has also had the privileged opportunity to perform at major venues in New Orleans such as, Republic and the Howlin Wolf. The start of his career is only beginning and MacNiffy is an upcoming force to be reckoned with.
