Madeline’s Toybox consists of three guys... and a girl that can sing like nobody's business. Kris, Michael, and Andy used to be in a band called the Agency. But...then they decided that it would be really cool to write and perform music just for kids. So...they started writing music that was way too much fun for the average adult. Their first CD, Great Big Sunshine day was released in the spring of 2006 to rave reviews. Then Jamie came along and sang so great they had no choice but to make her the fourth member of Madeline's Toybox. Their next album, "Big Time Fun,” will be released in late 2010. Jamie Abbot - Daisy Rock: Wildwood Artist Deluxe (Atomic Pink): Jamie is the Madeline in Madeline's Toybox. Singing since the age of five, Jamie has won numerous regional and national awards for her amazing vocal ability. Jamie also plays flute and guitar. Not too bad for a girl that loves grape slurpees and fried baloney sandwiches.
Kris Hensler - Daisy Rock: Stardust Retro-H De-Luxe (White Lightning): Guitarist, bass player, drummer, and principal songwriter for the band, Kris brings along more experience than he knows what to do with. Starting at the tender age of 4 he started drum lessons with his father, John. Those early drum lessons started a lifelong passion for music that continues to this day. From garage bands in his teens to professional touring acts in his 20's, Kris has the experience it takes to create and perform music that will entertain audiences of all ages.
Andy Schaefer - Daisy Rock: Rock Candy Bass (White Lightning): Bass Player, Keyboardist, guitarist, harmonica, kitchen sink. Andy grew up in Rochester, New York where he studied classical piano and cat juggling at the Eastman School of Music. Kris and Andy first met while performing with the Indiana University Jazz Ensemble. More recently Andy has lent his keyboard skills to regional acts “Suspended Animation” and “The Jury” before landing with Kris and Michael in “The Agency” and now “Madeline’s Toybox.”
Michael Lapp- Daisy Rock: Rock Candy Classic (White Lightning): As a singer and guitarist for the band, Michael contributes a vast wealth of experience in front of an audience as well as a strong and versatile pop voice. In his younger days Michael was a founding member and lead singer for regional act “The Hush.” in which Kris was also the drummer. Later, Michael again met up with Kris and Andy to form “The Agency” and then “Madeline’s Toybox.”
