Since then his album has been widely received in the reggae industry as an innovative, important contribution to the modern reggae scene. In February 2002, Restored My Soul was awarded Best Reggae CD/Album of the Year from the 21st Annual Chicago Music Awards, and Magic Rocker was nominated for Best African Entertainer. He has also just been nominated for Best African Entertainer in the 2002 Chicago Music Awards. Since its release, Restored My Soul has been getting regular airplay on reggae stations across the globe, from Ireland to Turkey, Australia to Ghana, the United States to Colombia.
