As he grew, so did his desire to be an entrepreneur and entertainer. In Jr high, he was writing lil' raps and breakdancing with the homeboys. As his passion grew, so did his talent and hustle. "I was shy but I would still show my skills whenever I gotta chance." In '99, S.U.C., Swishahouse, SPM and other Houston artists were starting to blow up on the underground scene. In high school, he became friends with future Climaximum Records CEO, Jwil. "He introduced me to sittin' down and writing a song. After that, it was on." As time went on, in came the entrepreneur spirit. "I started making my own mixtapes givin' em to all my homeboys and sellin' the rest. I started feeling a strong ambition that this is what I wanted to do." In '02, his high school sweetheart had given birth to a son, Cesario Jr. "Now I'm lookin' at the situation as a means to support a family, I gotta make this happen." So along with Eazy Money, Chuck, and a crew full of support, Certified Empire was created. "We gettin money, makin moves, establishing our rep." In May 2007, THE UNDERGROUND HUSTLE hit the streets and the web. "I done been on the grind...Now it's time to shine. Follow me on this underground hustle." Music isn't the only hustle though, in August 2007 Major invested in the vending business. Certified Refreshments is now up and running. "I got 2 machines set up in the Houston area, the market is huge, I'm just tryin to get my hands on that paper." Also, in March of 2008, www.certifiedempire.com was launched on-line. A one-stop shop for any customer, Certified Fashionz sells DVD's, CD's, T-shirts, fashion buckles, Playboy accessories and much more.
