Paulo Bennetti - A-star Acoustic magazine Oct 08 '...a bit like putting on your dancing shoes and then kicking someone to death with them. Long may Mama Huhu continue!' Sound Sisters Aug 08 'Mama Huhu are simply awesome!' Rick Fanning - In Here magazine Aug 08 Having spent the last two years proclaiming our innocence and the fact that we are just a simple little band with scant ambition and even less talent, we have now decided to come clean and let everyone know that we are, in fact, quite the most brilliant pop rock trio you will ever hear. We marvel at our own talents, which at times surprise even our mothers and now, because of our 'world legend' status, we have assumed the collective title of 'The band that is bigger than Elvis'. We feel that we haven't disowned our modesty-based roots because we haven't actually pointed out which Elvis we are talking about. We all know there's only one Elvis. And he was a fat, fat man, which, we feel, rather works in our favour. All songs recorded at home in our tiny garage along with bikes, tents, tumble driers, spiders (we think we might have discovered a new species. We looked it up on the web natch to see if it would bite but couldn't find it!) and a whole heap of other junk. We have got a new desk with automated faders, which is cool, yet scary when its like 3am and you are on your own mixing and you forget that they can move by themselves! Honestly we nearly shat ourselves.... Band members: Dave - Guitars, bass, vocals, keyboards, programming, ego Dink - Drums, percussion, guitars. Canadian noises. Richie - Guitars, bass, being far and away the best looking band member, BVs Special thanks to SJ for the lyrics on 'Let's keep it like this' and to the fabulous Mark Tonik of the Toniks for co-writing Bubble with Dave xx Thanks and love to the Shaftesbury Chamber Orchestra without whose dedication to unusual projects this might not have sounded quite so interesting. “The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs... There's also a negative side.” - Hunter S. Thompson"
