Brief Biography on Mark Linford... Mark Linford, M.M. is an exceptionally talented guitarist/singer/songwriter. He earned his bachelor's degree as a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and also holds a Master's Degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Redlands School of Music. Mr. Linford has played professionally for 30 years as well as instructed at music institutions and colleges. He is extremely versatile and competent in all styles of music including Latin, Rock, Blues, Pop, Jazz, Country, and Classical, as well as other less widespread styles. Mark has performed extensively in Southern California as well as many other areas nationally. Locally in the Coachella Valley, Mark has performed at virtually all of the major resort hotels, country clubs, dance clubs and restaurants. Although concentrating mainly on teaching now, Mark Linford has acquired an enormous amount of experience from performing solo as well as working with an incredibly wide range of bands, artists and studio situations playing virtually all styles of music. He has recorded extensively as a "First Call Guitarist" on demo recordings, albums and over 20 CD's. Mark Linford's extraordinary versatility has proven crucial when satisfying the wide variety of styles that today's audiences want to hear and dance to. As well as performing, Mr. Linford's unique approach to teaching combines vast experience and talent with traditional teaching ideals while always keeping the journey fun as well as educational. Focusing on applied practices rather than theories that will not be used in the real world is an integral part of Mark's approach and that of his famous Linford School of Music. Mark Linford is now making time to put out a Latin CD which shows his command of the guitar as well as his talents in writing and producing. "Fire On The Beach" and "For You" are the first pre-release singles of the upcoming complete CD and have received rave reviews and the highest of accolades from all listeners and industry professionals alike!
