Greetings Everyone:
I am a singer/songwriter, pianist, teacher and educational consultant of music and business, vocal coach, bandleader of 2-7 pieces, cable TV show host and an engineer of a pro tools studio where I produce my own CDs and demos for other vocalists, poets and anyone who wants to create music, voice overs or spoken word CDs.
I sustained an eye injury on school grounds in 1995; thus, I have been self-employed ever since performing as a solo act and with my band and producing music projects for private corporations, public institutions and individuals.
I use music to teach academics, inspire, reduce stress, motivate, entertain, inform, influence and shape new attitudes and to promote peace, happiness and change in the world.
I relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1984 from the "windy city," Chicago, Illinois and have loved it here ever since. I love LA because of the great weather and the sunshine!
I am creating music in multiple genres, although jazz is my first love. CDs are jazz and blues, Atfo-Latin jazz, reggae, adult contemporary, funk, easy listening pop, socially and politically relevant music, childrens' music and inspirational as well as gospel music (deceased mom's gospel lyrics to which I put the melodies).
Well, that's a short synopsis of my music career since I've been here in LA.
